While writing my novels, I was able to draw on the knowledge and understanding that I develped during the many different lives I have led. To briefly summarize: I grew up as a poor child with eccentric parents. I have been a lonely teenager, a young married woman to a medical student, who became a university professor of philosophy and a psychoanalyst. During our twenty years of marriage, I willingly sacrificed my own ambitions to the "higher aspirations" of my brilliant husband. When our marriage broke up, for a while, I was a confused single mother of two children trying to find myself during the seventies while pursuing a college degree. Upon graduation, I worked as a newspaper reporter, a corporate community relations professional, a free lance business writer and college teacher. After moving to Connecticut from Westchester County, I met and married Edward, who encourages me to pursue my dream of writing fiction. | |
